Drought and Emergency Response Stage II Voluntary Water Restrictions terminated for those living within the Cross Creek Ranch community:
The emergency repair at the water plant within the Cross Creek Community is complete. The water supply system is now able to deliver water in normal operating conditions.
Therefore, the Drought Contingency Plan Stage II restrictions (voluntary water conservation) has been lifted. Within the guidelines of our Drought Contingency Plan, the system is now in Stage I, Mild (still voluntary water conservation).
Voluntary restrictions to our customers as outlined in the approved (Stage I) Drought Contingency Plan are as follows:
1. Request voluntary reduction in water use by public
2. Detect and repair any water leaks
3. Reduce street cleaning, vehicle washing
4. Reduce landscape watering
Within the next few days, as the system is monitored, we expect the operating conditions to remain stable. We expect to lift the Stage I restrictions to be lifted/terminated at that time. Announcements will be posted on the City's website and Facebook page. Water restriction stages are based on daily water usage versus daily well output as set forth by the TCEQ (Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.)
