August 27, 2017 – 7:30 PM:

In the interest of the public safety, the City has issued a mandatory evacuation for residents in the lower Bois D’Arc area for Lea, Penn, Terry, Oak, Shady, Country, and Red Bird Lane along with Bois D’Arc Lane south of Walker Lane.

The City anticipates an inundation of the area from water from the east as well as back up from the Brazos River and its tributaries. Residents are encouraged to leave as soon as possible.

Those evacuating should be sure to bring along critical documents and medicines for family members and pets.  Those with pets should be sure to take documentation on rabies and other vaccinations and have pets on a leash or kenneled.

The City is working to vet local shelter information and will follow up with a Blackboard Connect message with additional details as soon as they are available. Please note that pets may not be accepted at American Red Cross shelters, so you may need to make alternate arrangements.

Please reach out to us with any questions at (281) 346-1796. We’ll be manning the phone 24-7 to help get you the information you need.
