FM 1093 TRAFFIC SWITCH - A major traffic switch for Westpark / FM 1093 Extension Phase 2A will begin early on Monday, January 21. The public can expect to see the following operations during the day on Monday.

- Restripe westbound lane west of Cross Creek Boulevard for the new traffic pattern coming off the new roadway (this will be the first operation of the day).

- Restripe westbound traffic lanes east of FM 1463 (in front of Walmart).

- Move traffic onto new westbound pavement using pilot vehicle/law enforcement.

During the time of moving traffic to the new westbound pavement, the new traffic signals at FM 1463 and Cross Creek Ranch will go active. Also coinciding with this operation will be the closure of all cross overs from properties on the north side of the roadway. This is when all traffic will be forced to go one-way on the new lanes with U-Turns open at Cross Creek Ranch and FM 1463.

Once the traffic switch is complete, westbound traffic will have two travel lanes through the FM 1463 intersection, however they will be reduced to one lane from the Flewellen Creek Bridge throughout the project for the final road work to be completed. We anticipate the traffic being in one lane on the right side of the roadway for one week, while the existing crossovers are removed and inside curb line is completed. Then traffic will be moved the left lane, remaining in one lane, so that the work on the outside of the roadway can be completed (sidewalks, drainage, grass).

During this traffic switch, eastbound traffic will remain in one lane, as it is now, until the inside curb is completed on the eastbound lanes and the roadway is restriped, we expect this to be a couple weeks.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as this immense construction project continues. The weather patterns have not been kind for the construction crews and they appreciate your smiles as they work diligently to keep progressing!
