City of Fulshear Invites Community to June 5 Town Hall on Economic Development Strategy

May 24, 2019:  The City will host a public Town Hall meeting on Wednesday, June 5, 2019, at 6:00 p.m. at the Irene Stern Community Center (6920 Katy-Fulshear Road) to gather input on the City’s economic development strategy. A fun evening of interactive activities are planned for those in attendance, along with a project update and overview.

“We encourage Fulshear community members to come join us for the Town Hall,” said Economic Development Director Angela Fritz.  “It is very important to the City to engage the public in the planning process to ensure that the strategies developed are in alignment with the community’s wishes, and we look forward to the input we will receive as we progress with development of the plan.”

The City of Fulshear has been working with TIP Strategies since early 2019 to guide the development of its first city-wide Economic Development Strategic Plan.  The initial phase of the project kicked off in January, and in addition to an Economic Assessment, the TIP consulting team has completed stakeholder interviews, a community survey, and a visioning workshop amongst City Council and the City’s Economic Development Corporation boards in order to understand the community’s economic priorities and opportunities.  These inputs will be combined inform proposed strategies in the resulting plan which will include an implementation plan to promote economic growth and prosperity in the City over the next 10 years. The final Economic Development Strategic Plan will be completed by August 2019.

More information on the Economic Development Strategic Plan project can be found at the City’s website, or by visiting the project website.
