Purpose and Meetings

The Planning and Zoning Commission is an advisory Board to the City Council which serves to ensure that the principles set forth in the City's Development Ordinances are implemented as they review each project.  The Commission has the authority to review plats within the City and it's Extra-Territorial Jurisdiction. Likewise, the Commission will review matters related to the Zoning process once it is adopted.  For more information on zoning, click here.

The Commission meets regularly at 8:30 AM on the first Friday of every month in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 30603 FM 1093, Fulshear, Texas 77441. Meetings are open to the public.

The Planning Commission provides the City Council with recommendations regarding city ordinances, commercial building projects, and the development of parks and land planning projects.

For placement on the Planning Commission Agenda all project required documents must be completed and received 15 days prior to the Planning Commission Planning Date.

All commercial projects require a plan review by the Building Inspector and/or a drainage plan review by the City Engineer.  The plan review process may take up to 30 days to complete, depending on the project scope, number of buildings involved, and non-compliant issues.  Commercial developers should allow at least 60 days for project processing.
