The Planning and Zoning Commission is an advisory Board to the City Council which serves to ensure that the principles set forth in the City's Development Ordinances are implemented as they review each project. The Commission has the authority to review plats within the City and it's Extra-Territorial Jurisdiction. Responsibilities

Planning and Zoning shall exercise the following powers and be required to:

  1. Review and recommend to the city council changes in zoning;
  2. The authority to grant preliminary plat approvals as outlined in section 28-7-37, preliminary plats.
  3. Review and make a recommendation of approval or disapproval to the city council for final plats in accordance with section 28-7-36, final plats;
  4. Perform all functions designated as either "final decision" or "recommendation" as provided in table 28-7-3, table of permits and approvals; and
  5. Perform such other functions and duties as authorized in this CDO and as may be duly delegated to them by the city council.

Meetings

The Planning & Zoning Commission meets regularly at 8:30 AM on the first Friday of every month at the City Hall Municipal Complex Building A, 6611 W Cross Creek Bend Lane, Fulshear TX 77441. Meetings are open to the public.
